Gratitude, for me, isn’t about keeping a perfect journal. I’ve learned that what matters most is expressing it. I try to be specific - whether it’s acknowledging something my partner has done at home or appreciating a small win at work. Saying it out loud makes me more mindful and helps others feel genuinely seen.
I don’t believe in “work–life balance.” Instead, I believe in protecting priorities. Balance can feel like doing everything halfway, while priorities help me decide what deserves my energy. For me, that means being present for my daughter and my partner, and accepting that I can’t do everything - but I can do a few things really well.
Being made redundant last year was humbling and gave me perspective. Now, I wake up early to carve out time for myself before the day begins. I set intentions, check in with my thoughts, and focus on how I speak to myself - aiming to be kind, honest, and accountable. That quiet space helps me navigate the chaos with clarity.
I plan and time-block almost everything. Having a structure helps me protect both my energy and attention. Far from being restrictive, planning gives me the freedom to be present in each moment, knowing I’ve already made space for what matters most.
Movement is non-negotiable. It doesn’t have to be intense - even a walk can reset my mindset and energy. Moving my body grounds me, clears my head, and reminds me that wellness is built from small, consistent actions.
