5 Reasons To Go to Guernsey’s Newest Health & Fitness Expo

In partnership with Trainerfy

At the end of the month, new local platform Trainerfy are hosting Guernsey’s Fitness & Health Expo at The OGH, featuring local exhibitor stands, expert talks and a Q&A feature to get all of your questions answered. And they want you to come along and learn from the best that Guernsey has to offer. Entry is free and you can pop in after work.

We’ve had a look at what’s on offer and here are 5 reasons to do just that:

1. To Hear From The Experts

And there are many to hear from - all with different backgrounds, but all absolutely excellent at what they do. You’ll see List regulars like Lydia Cherry from Forme Pilates, Sophie Fuller of Fuller Nutrition, Ann Chamberlain of Roseneath Skin Clinic & Grace Galliott from the Natural Health Clinic & Shop, as well as athlete Abi Galpin and coaches from Guernsey Athletics and newer faces to the wellbeing industry, such as Inclusive Inc.

2. To Gain A Fresh Perspective

This kind of event is the perfect way to open yourself up to a new way of thinking, maybe unpick some old habits that aren’t working for us and let go of some advice that we may have picked that may no longer serve us. It’s always good to open our minds to new ideas and find out what’s new in the industry and update our knowledge.

3. To Get To Know New Local Businesses

There is so much amazing talent and so many fantastic health and fitness businesses here in Guernsey, and this is a great way to meet them and hear what they have to offer - all in one place.

4. To Separate The Fact From The Fiction

One of the major themes of the event is to bust some common misconceptions around the wellbeing industry. Each of the experts will take a common myth and debunk it with real evidence. And they’ll do it in an easy to understand, accessible way. Still think you need to cut carbs to lose weight? Or that if you lift weights you will bulk up? Allow the experts to convince you otherwise.

5. To Try Something New

How many of us have thought about lifting weights - or trying a new supplement or treatment or workout and don’t because we feel self conscious or a bit out of our depth? That’s the aim of this event. To encourage us to ask questions and find out more, to take that next step and try something new. Which is so important, because if we don’t then we don’t move forward, right?
