So this may be the right time to set goals that require discipline and to think about how you can build a foundation that will support your long-term success.

Since this is the first New Moon of the year I would encourage you to make a vision board.  Whether it is online (try Pinterest maybe?), written down in your journal, or a traditional board made up from pictures cut out of magazines, this is the perfect way to anchor your vision and also put it out to the universe.
